Arthur Askey book wanted

I thought I'd let authors know of some of the subjects we'd like to publish books on. Well, I'm a big fan of British comedy, old and new school. One of the old ones is Arthur Askey, a wonderful storyteller that I fell in love with on Does the Team Think (one of my all-time favorite radio shows!). On one DTTT episode, he mentioned working on his autobiography. Granted, it's hard to take what these oldies say as serious, but I'd like to Think it's true. So if you know - let me know!

new Buckwheat book

I'd like to invite readers to give us ideas of what they'd like to see in the new biography we're doing on Our Gang's Buckwheat. Written with a wealth of material from his son, we're thinking of making it a biography in pictures.

What would you like to see on the cover - a typical shot, with hair standing up, or something never seen before? Young or old?

Do you have some rare Buckwheat item? We'd love to use it in the book, and of course you'll get credit and a free copy of the book.

Did you work with Buckwheat? A friend of his? We'd love to hear from you.

Talking to the Piano Player 2

Stuart Oderman, who has just released The Keystone Krowd, is feverishly working on the sequel book to his Talking to the Piano Player.

Talking to the Piano Player 2 will have nifty interviews with
Artie Shaw
Lita Grey (Charlie Chaplin's 2nd wife, mother of Sydney)
Joseph L. Mankiewicz
Harry Richman
Ann Miller
Janet Blair
Marie Windsor
Gloria De Haven
Vivian Blaine
Sylvia Miles
Veronica Lake
Lou Jacobi
David Burns

Not quite a silent film selection, but it's gonna be fun!
